Cowboy Klapps
1942-2007

Cowboy Klapps, age 64, a resident of Belen, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, at the family home. He was born in Neenah, Wis., and was deputy sheriff in Neenah.

He was a member of the United States Marine Corp and served his country during the Vietnam War.

He moved to Belen in 1983. He liked ranching and working with cattle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Stella Klapps; and a brother-in-law, Larry Cullum.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Lori Klapps; his children, Jules Jr. of Green Bay, Wis., Neil of Neenah, Wis., Daniel and Nathen, also of Wisconsin, Shara, Eugene, twins, Tanya and Angela, all of Kansas, and David of Belen; step-children, Sherry and her husband, Phil, of Albuquerque, Jeff and his wife, Vena, of Stephenville, Texas, Dallas and his wife, Tony, of Kerns, Texas, and Dennis and Peggy of Stephenville, Texas; 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 26, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. at Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley, Belen.
